Sometimes it is important to send a tweet at a specific time – maybe it is an announcement or a new blog post that you need to send in advance because you will be away from your computer.
Well, help is at hand, because there are a range of different tools out there to help you with just this problem. Here are our pick of the best:
- We’ve talked about CoTweet a number of times as we are big fans. Cotweet is a fully functional Twitter client which also acts as a mini content management tool. You can use it to manage multiple accounts – ideal for small business owners and scheduling tweets is easy and straightforward to do without any limits. If all you want to do is schedule a tweet, then Cotweet might be a bit much, but it is certainly worth a look
- SocialOomph, like CoTweet is very feature rich and has a lot of different tools that you might want or need to use. Its tweet scheduler is easy to use and effective. Some of its tools have to be paid for, but the scheduler is free
- HootSuite is another client that we have talked about on a number of occasions and, like CoTweet has an array of features and can serve as a fully functioning Twitter dashboard. Its tweet scheduler doesn’t everything you would need. If you already use HootSuite, then this is probably the option for you
- Twuffer is the first tool we’ve covered here that is solely designed for scheduling tweets. You can quickly use Twuffer to tweet pre-written messages and send out at set times
- Supr is a URL shortener and Twitter scheduler that has the added bonus of allowing you to also schedule messages on Facebook – ideal if you have accounts on both services
- Future Tweets is the last on our list and probably the most simple to use. It does what it says on the tin so if you want a no hassle, no frills way to schedule tweets in the future, then this is it
